Everyone lives by a personal myth.
We often get stuck in someone else’s myth - a story someone made the choice to deify.
It's not their fault or our fault that this occurs - it just is. Yet it is our problem to fix.
It's our choice to continue to kneel at the shrine of someone else's limiting view - or not.
You'll notice that more often than not, people are prone to idealizing stories that lead to doom and gloom and limitations - holistic poverty.
The affirmations we make when we maintain loyalty to a script someone else is comfortable living by - used to living by - creates our story.
It's hard to change. Becoming aware is very difficult. Especially if the script we've codified tells us we have no free will choice to alter it, or our beliefs about what is possible for us - for humanity.
But it's not impossible.
Every day we are given a choice to respond to the circumstances of our lives in a certain way.
Sometimes we are given a flash of insight - an entry point into connecting the dots of beliefs we have owned as ours, yet have heaps of holes poked in them - they ain't legit. And they don't truly belong to us.
They don't have to be ours. It's just a story someone else decided to devote themselves to, and taught us we had to kneel in front of.
Get up off your knees. There's a new script to write, and you need to be standing in order to do it.
